Refrigerator compressor support plate: start-up and steady-state vibration
Compressor vibration passes through the support into the panel and is radiated as sound; confirm the transmission path before deciding where damping goes.
Start-up, steady state and shutdown
Record the sound and its position in each of the three phases, and check whether connections, pipework and other panels are transmitting vibration as well.
What the support plate does
Damping and the panel form a vibrating system. The result depends on substrate, geometry and joining conditions, and the damping treatment must be coordinated with the equipment’s vibration-isolation measures.
Selection inputs
List allowable added weight, service temperature, assembly space, maintenance and heat-dissipation conditions together, and set thickness from the actual panel rather than applying a generic figure.
Verification by level
Record sample, assembly and whole-unit verification separately. Keep model, placement, load, operating phase and measurement points identical before and after.
Tell us in which phase the vibration occurs and send the support plate and installation details, and we will discuss the damping approach.
