How to Buy Water-Based Damping and Sound Deadening Coatings
Gelisiwei (Shanghai) Tech Co., Ltd. uses German technology and manufactures in Songjiang, Shanghai. Outside China our water-based damping (sound deadening, anti-drumming), acoustic and fire-protection coatings are sold as griwecolor Antiphon. This page explains how pricing works, how to estimate consumption, and how to request a quote from outside China.
What determines the price
We do not publish a list price. Quotations depend on:
- the product and its function (e.g. AN2-800, waterproof AN2-900, lightweight AN2-L series)
- the target dry-film thickness
- the area and quantity
- packaging (25 kg pails, 250 kg drums with liner, 1200 kg IBCs)
- delivery terms and destination
When comparing damping compounds from different suppliers, compare material cost per m² at the target dry-film thickness, not price per kg.

FAQ
How much does water-based damping coating cost?
Price depends on the product, quantity, packaging and delivery location, so we do not publish a list price. Send us the application, substrate and sheet thickness, area, target requirement and destination, and Sales will quote by product. When comparing suppliers, compare material cost per square metre at the target dry-film thickness, not price per kilogram.
How much coating do I need per square metre?
According to our product data, AN2-800, AN2-700 and AN2-701 need approx. 1.4–1.8 kg/m² (wet) per 1 mm dry film; AN6-S130 approx. 1.2–1.4 kg/m². Consumption is roughly proportional to dry-film thickness: 100 m² of AN2-800 at 1 mm dry needs approx. 140–180 kg, at 2 mm approx. 280–360 kg (application losses not included).
Are you a manufacturer?
Yes. Gelisiwei (Shanghai) Tech Co., Ltd. manufactures in Songjiang, Shanghai, using German technology; AN2-800 is made in our Songjiang plant. Outside China the range is sold as griwecolor Antiphon. Not affiliated with Antiphon AB (Sweden).
Do you send samples abroad?
No. Free 1 kg samples (freight collect) are for customers in China only. Customers outside China can request a quote directly through the quote form or Sales@griwecolor.com.cn.
What are the minimum order quantity and lead time?
MOQ and lead time depend on the product, quantity and current stock, and are confirmed with each quotation.
Is AN2-800 tested to EN 45545-2?
Yes. AN2-800 is tested to EN 45545-2:2013+A1:2015 and reaches hazard level HL3, test report (2020) CL字第W1197号 (summary from the AN2-800 technical data sheet dated 2023-06-14, valid for AN2-800 only). The report itself is not published; contact Tech@griwecolor.com.cn for project documentation.
What packaging and shelf life do you offer?
Typical packaging is 25 kg pails, 250 kg steel drums (with liner) and 1200 kg IBCs, depending on the product. Shelf life is at least nine months in sealed original packaging; keep dry and cool and protect from frost.
