A quieter, more comfortable lift car: choosing a water-based damping coating
A water-based damping coating consists of water-based resin, fillers and a damping agent. Used inside a lift car it handles noise, vibration and surface protection together.
What it does in the car
Noise control: it has sound-absorbing properties and absorbs noise during operation. Vibration: a running lift vibrates, more noticeably at high floors, and the coating structure absorbs and spreads the vibration energy. Car protection: it has some impact and wear resistance and protects the inner surfaces from scratches and wear.
Emphasis by setting
High-rise housing cares most about a calm home; lifts in commercial towers run often and have more pronounced noise and vibration; lifts in public places are used heavily and need more durability.
Environmental indicators
Hazardous substances, release indicators and safety all follow test reports; environmental indicators are confirmed against test reports and project requirements.
